The Cleveland Dental Hygienists’ Association is a local component of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the Ohio Dental Hygienists’ Association. We connect, support, and represent dental hygienists and students throughout the Greater Cleveland region.
Who We Are
Cleveland holds an important place in dental hygiene history as the birthplace of both the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the Ohio Dental Hygienists’ Association, dating back to 1923.
Who We Serve
CDHA represents dental hygienists and students across Cuyahoga, Erie, Huron, Lorain, and Medina counties. We are here for our members and for every licensed dental hygienist in our component region.
What We Do
We provide professional connection, continuing education, leadership opportunities, student outreach, advocacy updates, and community engagement that supports oral and overall health.
Our Purpose
CDHA works to improve the oral health of the public, advance the art and science of dental hygiene, maintain high standards of practice, represent and protect the interests of the profession, support professional competence, foster communication, and promote activities that strengthen dental hygiene in Northeast Ohio.
