Course Format: Live Lecture with Hands-on Clinical Training Course Objectives: • Discuss biological background of SDF • Understand patient-level and tooth-level indications for SDF use • Identify potential problems associated with SDF • Describe proper isolation and placement technique • Discuss detection of arresting dental caries • Discuss reapplication of treatment • Discuss importance of consent agreements |

Kelly Simmons graduated from The University of Dayton in 2005 and completed her Hygiene Degree from Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio. She has been a Preventive Care Consultant with Elevate Oral Care since 2013. Prior to working for Elevate she worked as a Dental Assistant in Northeastern Ohio and then went onto practice hygiene in the state of Georgia. Kelly has spent most of her career educating dental professionals on the uses of SDF and other preventive care therapies.
